Hello! My name is Andrew Berens, and I have worked with GIS since 2013. I obtained GIS certificates alongside both my Bachelor of Science in Geography (Arizona State University, Class of 2013) and my Master of Science in Geosciences (Georgia State University, Class of 2016) degrees. In 2020 I became a certified GIS professional (GISCI certification number: 160724). I have worked in state and federal government as a fellow, contractor, and full-time employee conducting geospatial analyses, building and maintaining GIS infrastructure, and producing quality geographic data. I have taught multiple spatial analytics courses and Georgia State and Louisiana State University Health Science Center. I am experienced in the full Esri suite of products as well as open source alternatives, such as QGIS. Beyond GIS I am skilled in Stata, SAS, SQL, MS Office and Adobe products.
